MUSEUM OF POLISH HISTORY

Museum proposal proceeds from the desire to make connections at multiple levels: urbanistically, with respect to the Park and Castle, and experimentally, through the Museum’s spatial schema. This schema takes its formal logic from interpreting the shifting boundaries over time of the Polish Nation. The Heart Space acts as an organizational void within the building, translating the physical transformations of the Polish territorial experience through history. Three Dimensional Space-Time Mapping of shifting Polish Territory across the centuries-produced by lofting map outlines together-becomes organizational space of the Museum: the Heart Space.
